Plant and equipment hire specialist Plantool Hire Centres has bought its first Hinowa spider platform from Access Platform Sales and is confident it will be popular with customers.
The company has invested in a Hinowa Lightlift 17.75 Performance IIIS spider platform. It says there is a ready market for the platform from tree surgeons, construction contractors and building maintenance specialists.
Plantool Hire Centres Managing Director Ben Jones said: “The Hinowa Lightlift 17.75 is an excellent platform and a very welcomed addition to our powered access fleet.
“It’s a quality product and we don’t think we could have made a better choice for working at height where space is restricted or where our customers are working over low load bearing ground.
“We’ve worked with APS for many years to source a wide range of platforms. Our investment decision was made easy by APS’s very good service, in terms of making it easier for us to invest and then providing support in terms of ongoing advice and prompt maintenance.”
Hinowa spider brand power
The Hinowa LL 17.75 spider platform provides a maximum working height of 17.06m, maximum horizontal outreach of 7.5m and an unrestricted basket capacity of 230kg. In tracking mode, the platform is just 798mm wide, so can be moved through a single doorway or a small garden gate.
APS Major Accounts Manager Linda Betts said: “We’re delighted to continue to support Ben and his team’s powered access needs with this Hinowa LL 17.75 spider platform, which adds unique capabilities to their access hire fleet.
“Hinowa is a market leader in the UK and we expect Plantools Hire Centres to benefit from this brand power, which delivers unrivalled performance for customers and excellent return on investment for rental companies.”
APS always backs up the Hinowa promise with the best possible after-sales support, which includes expert advice, remote access diagnostics and rapid parts, maintenance and certificated testing support.
Bi-energy spider platform benefits
Plantool Hire Centres is a well-established tool, plant and access hire company, with its HQ depot in Daventry and other depots in Kettering, Lutterworth, Nuneaton, Warwick and Stratford Upon Avon.
The company has selected a bi-energy Hinowa LL 17.75 spider platform powered by a low-emissions and low-noise diesel engine or via 110v mains electricity, so it can be used for internal and external projects.
As with all Hinowa Performance platforms available from APS, ranging from 13m to 33m working height, it has dual speed tracking, one button set up and stow, and unrivalled fast, smooth and precise basket positioning for safe and highly productive working at height.
The platform’s compact size and lightness, weighing just 2230kg, will be a particular benefit for many Plantool Hire Centres customers, said Ben Jones.
He added: “For example, our depot in Warwick supplies a lot of platforms to clients in Leamington Spa where building design and conservation restrictions make high level maintenance a challenge. Our new Hinowa LL 17.75 gives customers new options to overcome those challenges.”
