Routine servicing and maintenance will not only help keep your access platform reliable (and legally compliant under LOLER 98 and Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations 1998 (PUWER)), it will give you an early warning of any potential problems that could result in unexpected, costly repairs and unnecessary downtime.

There are no hidden extras - pricing is inclusive of labour, travel time, mileage and any relevant consumables detailed in the service plan.

LOLER Testing

LOLER stands for “Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment Regulations 1998”. These regulations were created under the Health and Safety at Work Act with the aim to reduce the risk of injury from using lifting equipment at work.

LOLER regulations apply to people and companies who operate or have control over lifting equipment, whether they own the equipment or not.

A LOLER inspection involves a “thorough examination” of the equipment in question to ensure it is fit for purpose and safe to use. The inspections must be carried out by a competent person and any defects must be reported to the person responsible for the equipment and the relevant enforcing authority.

Lifting equipment used at work also comes under the Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations 1998 (PUWER). PUWER requires that all equipment provided for use at work is suitable and safe for the intended use, is used by adequately trained people, is maintained correctly and is accompanied by suitable health and safety measures.

Lifting equipment must comply with both PUWER and LOLER regulations, which include extra requirements specific to lifting equipment.
