A plant hire specialist is proving the value of Approved Used access platforms supplied by Access Platform Sales with the purchase of a Hinowa 15.70 spider lift.
Ranskill Hire Ltd, established in the late 1950s and still going strong, knows a good deal when it sees one, so snapped up the second-hand spider lift and trailer being sold by APS.
Hire Manager Daniel Pennington, grandson of the company’s founder, Roy Pennington (pictured above), was impressed by the quality of the Hinowa 15.70, so had no qualms about taking on a second-hand platform.
He said: “Hinowa spider lifts are built to last, and the platform we’ve bought only had 700 hours on it. APS also did a great job of preparing it for sale. It looks and operates as good as new.
“Also, we’ve always found the service provided by APS is first class. They’re always on hand with technical support, and if we need parts they’re usually delivered the next day.”
Right platform – right price
Ranskill Hire Ltd, based near Retford, Nottinghamshire, supplies agricultural machinery, light construction plant, forestry and horticultural machinery, as well as grass cutting equipment to customers across South Yorkshire and the East Midlands.
Its small fleet of access platforms, popular with tree surgeons, includes a Hinowa Lightlift 17.75 Performance IIIS spider lift, also bought second hand, which regularly attracts compliments from customers.
Linda Betts, Key Accounts Director at APS, the UK and Ireland distributor for Hinowa, said: “We’re so pleased Dan and his team have the right Hinowa spider lift at the right price for their hire fleet.
“With the care we put into our Approved Used platforms, second hand is not second best. Dan’s customers still get to use the UK’s market leading spider lift with all the advantages that gives them.”
Bi-energy power option
The Hinowa 15.70 has a maximum working height of 15.4m, a maximum outreach of 6.6m and an unrestricted basket capacity of 230kg.
With a travel width of just 780mm, it can be tracked through garden gates or through singled doorways for indoor work.
The version bought by Ranskill Hire Ltd provides bi-energy power. It can be operated using its diesel engine or 110v cabled mains electricity.
Through its Approved Used scheme, APS offers for sale the best-prepared quality second-hand access platforms on the market, combined with flexible and attractive finance deals.
