A picture of tree surgeon Ian McClelland in his Hinowa spider platform beneath a rainbow has been named runner-up in a competition to find the IAPA access photograph of the year.
Access Platform Sales (APS) submitted the image, taken by Ian’s customer, William Curry, with his mobile phone in Balleymoney, Northern Ireland.
A snap judgement to take the picture, made after spotting the Hinowa Lightlift 26.14 Performance IIIS’s basket framed perfectly by the rainbow, has won Mr Curry a 250 Euro prize.
IAPA Awards judges described the picture as “inspiring” and a “wonderful picture taken with perfect timing”.
APS Managing Director Steve Couling said: “We’re very pleased for Mr Curry and want to thank him for reacting so quickly when the rainbow appeared.
“There is always something magical about a rainbow and we agree with the judges, our Hinowa spider platforms are pretty inspirational as well!”
APS is the UK and Ireland authorised distributor for all Hinowa products.
The annual International Awards for Powered Access (IAPA) recognise the best achievements in powered access across the world.
