Access Platform Sales has appointed experienced lifting and access professional Tony Campana to be its materials lifting and low-level access sales manager.

Tony has more than 20 years’ experience in sales, technical support and training in the materials lifting and access industry and is an IPAF CAP Assessor and PASMA Instructor.

APS Managing Director Steve Couling said: “We’re delighted Tony has joined the APS team in a move designed to strategically strengthen our material lifting and low-level access equipment offer.

“We have excellent brands, including the new ToughLift materials lift range, Wienold Lifte materials lifts and the BoSS PA Lift scissor lift, which Tony will now very ably present to the market.

“His appointment reflects APS’s clear approach to supporting both the customers and the manufacturers we represent, which is to offer transparent technical sales advice and our industry’s best after-sales support.”

‘Impressive’ material lifts range

Tony Campana said: “This is an exciting opportunity to work for APS and with leading brands in the lifting and access industry. APS is well-known for the quality of the technical support it provides its customers, so I’m proud to join the team.”

His appointment coincides with APS’s launch of ToughLift material lifts, which are designed to be the next generation of simple and easy-to-use lifting machines, ideally suited for the construction, building maintenance, fit-out and mechanical and electrical installation industries.

Tony said: “I’m very impressed with the ToughLift range, as have been the customers I have demonstrated them to in recent weeks. They most definitely have features that take it to a new level in terms of design and quality.

“My task now is to demonstrate to potential buyers that ToughLift material lifts have clear advantages. I’m pleased to say that’s happening, with customers also being impressed enough to place orders.”

Design elements include anodised T6 aircraft-grade aluminium mast sections, all-aluminium pulleys, stainless securing steel pins, sealed bearings in loading wheels and smart features, including a mast safety braking system and fast lift set-up, requiring no tools.

APS can supply four versions of the ToughLift material lift, with lifting heights that range from 3.49m to 7.94m and capacities from 295kg to 454kg.

After-sales support is crucial

Tony said: “The quality of our ToughLift material lifts is matched by APS’s after-sales service. For example, we offer a range of training packages from familiarisation to full accredited training.

“This is increasingly wanted by rental companies, because they want to be able to pass on best practice instruction to their customers and are more aware than ever about the importance of lifting safety.

“APS also provides a comprehensive parts service, with all parts held by us in the UK, so they can be delivered quickly, often on a next day basis, maximising the utilisation rates of our ToughLift customers.”

APS can also just as quickly supply ToughLift attachments, which include fork extensions, boom attachments and pipe cradles, supporting timely fulfilment of a rental customer’s specialist needs.

Multiple quality brands

Tony is also enthusiastic about opportunities to market Wienold Lifte material lifts and the BoSS PA-Lift scissor lift.

He said: “Equipment like Wienold Lifte’s GML 800 material lifts have proved themselves to be market leaders for important tasks, including glass lifting, cladding installation and steel erection.

“The BoSS PA-Lift is also a highly-capable low level scissor with some industry-leading features. These make it an ideal solution for the many contractors switching from ladders and towers to low-level powered access, given its safety and productivity advantages.”
