Drone footage has dramatically captured the advantages of deploying Hinowa’s latest, and biggest, spider lift to work at height.
Access Platform Sales, the UK and Ireland authorised distributor for all Hinowa products, commissioned the airborne video shoot.
The footage created showed just how impressive the new Hinowa Lightlift 40.18 Performance IIIS is, both in terms of working height and boom outreach.
Height and outreach advantages
We worked with Fletcher Access, one of our first UK customers to take delivery of the spider lift, to shoot the drone footage at two sites.
The first was a project to attach a cupola to the roof of a care home in Gloucester.
This demonstrated the Hinowa Lightlift 40.18’s exceptional maximum outreach of 17.5m and its awesome up-and-over working capabilities.
The team from Fletcher Access, based in Worcester, needed all of that to reach the roof apex where the cupola needed to be attached.
They then used the platform to clean windows on a 12-storey block of flats in Worcester – a task where its working height of 40.2m came to the fore.
Low noise and zero emissions
Fletcher Access Director Simon Fletcher says: “The Hinowa Lightlift 40.18 was perfect for both projects, handling the constraints associated with both sites with ease.
“We chose to take a full bi-energy diesel and lithium battery version of the spider lift and we worked on full electric power for both these maintenance projects.
“It meant the platform provided very low noise and zero emission operation, so there was no disruption for residents in the properties we were working on, or neighbouring ones.”
APS has create three edited videos to present the drone footage – one for each of the projects and one combining extra clips from both jobs.
Narrow stabilisation capability
Other key performance characteristics of the Hinowa Lightlift 40.18 include:
- The spider lift is just 1696mm wide and 1998mm tall when stowed for tracking and transport, so can be moved easily along many paths and through gates;
- The platform has an unrestricted basket capacity of 230kg and a maximum capacity of 300kg with the outreach is restricted to 16.5m;
- The platform can be set up in a narrow stabilisation area for working in particularly confined spaces;
- The Hinowa LL 40.18 has two other power formats: bi-energy with a low-missions diesel engine and 110v mains electric power, and all-electric lithium battery power.
- It has the same simple and intuitive operating system as all other Performance IIIS spider lifts so, for such a large platform, it is very easy to operate.
